Biography:  Louise Siggers-Solheim

I live in the Ashdown Forest with my wonderful family.  My "addiction" to horses started from the age of 5 after my first lesson in a riding school and summers in wales with my great uncle's horse "startrek". She didn't have any tack so I would make a bridle from string and ride her around the field. My love of horses continued to grow and I never tire of being around these amazing animals as much as possible.  I had my first pony at the age of ten and have owned horses for the best part of my life, from showjumpers to racehorses to all-rounders and ponies. I competed in showjumping as a junior, worked in racing in my twenties and in recent years have had my own horses and family ponies.

I enjoy being with people, I love sports and have attended as many varied sporting events as possible including: Football Cup Finals, Rugby, County and International Cricket, Motorsports, Wimbledon to the equestrian events such as Cheltenham, the Derby, Royal Ascot and other major race meetings, Hickstead, Olympia, Horse Trials, Dressage, Polo, Point to Points and the amazing London 2012 Olympics!

For the last few years I have been retained by a prep school to take photographs for all their marketing, advertising, sports, school productions and school magazines.  I spend a couple of days a week there on average and absolutely love it.

I now also photograph weddings, assist with website production, album covers, marketing, sponsorship, editorial, parties, proms, balls and product photography .

My aim is to capture the excitement and achievements I see at a sporting event, the moments on your wedding day that say it all, the beauty of the countryside and the loving bond that you share with your family, horse or pets and present it to you in a way that you can keep forever.

For me to combine all my passions together and work as a photographer is just perfect!

Whether you are a top competitor in your sport or just having a day of fun is irrelevant ..... the moment is special to you and that is all that matters.
